Each issue contains the equivalent of several months of valuable (and expensive) music lessons for any instrument and/or genre. For non-musicians, the CD alone is quite a bargain...I am still listening to one that is 2 years old. The editors selection of the latest and often unknown artists has been the source of most of my CD purchases for the last couple of years (since I have been reading this magazine). My only regret is that Jazz Improv Mag did not exist 20 years ago. Had it existed, the quality of today's music would have been much higher.
